As all you have all know that the new requirements enter into force in September 2021 and will apply to manufacturers and all the entities introducing lighting products on the European market.

Therefore, Benson Energy Saving Technology implement New Erp Directives into LED lighting, and identify our series as following:

  • ▶ ECGall series as NDLS (Non-directional), MLS (Mains light source) – able to work with electronic ballast, magnetic ballast, and directly AC mains power input (100V-240V).
  • ▶ ECGsmart series as NDLS (Non-directional), NMLS (Non mains light source) – able to work with electronic ballast, and LED driver
  • ▶ SW series as NDLS (Non-directional), MLS (Mains light source) – able to work with magnetic ballast, and directly AC mains power input (100V-24V).

  • Requirement for new product or from clients (2019/2015/EU)_ minimum Φuse For MLS replace old FL in EPREL
    • ✧ LED tube to replace old T8 FL: 945lm(R15W), 1350lm(R18W), 1900lm(R25W), 2400lm(R30W), 3348lm(R36W), 3306lm(R38W), 5220lm(R58W), 6230ln(R70W)
    • ✧ LED tube to replace old T5 HE FL: 1204lm(R14W), 1890lm(R21W), 2604lm(R28W), 3290lm(R35W)
    • ✧ LED tube to replace old T5 HO FL: 1752lm(R24W), 3081lm(R39W), 4312lm(R49W), 4428lm(R54W), 6160lm(R80W)
  • The standby power (Psb) and the net worked standby power (Pnet) should be < 0.5W.
  • Displacement factor of all LED lighting source (MLS) provided by Benson Energy Saving Technology are over 0.9.
  • Flicker test: SVM, Pst LM for MLS only. The stroboscopic test should be PstLM≤1 and SVM≤0.4 in all of our LED products.
  • Lumen maintenance factor for LED or OLED: the lumen maintenance factor after endurance testing, the calculation value of our products are exceeds 96,0%.
  • R9 color rendering index value >1
  • Survival Factor 100%

Differences between EU 2019/2015 directive and EU 874/2012 directives:
  • ✦ The calculation of energy efficiency level is changed from EEI to TM (lm/W), which is more intuitive.
  • ✦ The classification of energy efficiency level is changed to: Class A ~ Class G.
  • ✦ Higher energy efficiency requirements, Class A++ (EU 874/2012) is only equivalent to Class E (EU 2019/2015).
  • The label shall be:
    • ✧ — for the standard-sized label at least 36 mm wide and 75 mm high.
    • ✧ — for the small-sized label (width less than 36 mm) at least 20 mm wide and 54 mm high.
    • ✧ The packaging shall not be smaller than 20 mm wide and 54 mm high.
